In response to regional needs and state and national trends, school districts in Washington County are working together as a non-profit collaborative organization called the Washington County Consortium (WCC). Our goal is to create a strong and sustainable regional collaborative for professional development in Washington County. In partnership with institutions of higher education (the University of Maine at Machias and Washington County Community College), the WCC provides support to nine member districts and over six hundred educators and leaders across the region.
